I have rather a deep dark sense of foreboding about the future of this site after a brief flurry on the W&S list the other day (btw whats happening with that list) in which a visitors centre is proposed next to the Well. Now I am not arguing that in essence this is a bad thing, but one does rather feel that part of the attraction of this well: I have a lot of interest in St Chad's Well for a host of reasons, and i like the potential of online video for heritage, so imagine my delight when I found this http://youtube.com/watch?v=89J_A0YLFCc is how it sits in the 'landscape' and that alterations in this immediate area should perhaps be very carefully considered. that said, I would be interested to hear more about this program if anyone has any additional info.
